About me
Jacquelyn is an Assistant Principal within the Spanish Bilingual Program at the Calgary Board of Education. She has her Master of Educational Research, specializing in teaching and learning second languages. Jacquelyn grew up in Jasper National Park and spent her childhood carefully exploring the land around her home. Moving to Calgary in 2013 allowed her to begin her teaching career alongside language teachers from the French, Mandarin, Spanish, and German programs. Jacquelyn believes that authentic language learning experiences are crucial in developing the language identities of our students - which can all be done through exploring the land around our schools, homes, and communities.
